The original watercolour is one of eight fish illustrations for a bespoke textile print commissioned by The Fishmongers’ Company.

The plaice was carefully selected to celebrate its important and longstanding place in the history of British fishing trade, and to draw attention to sustainability issues of overfishing. Plaice is considered a more sustainable alternative to other flatfish such as lemon sole.

10% of the proceeds will go to marine conseration efforts to protect our oceans and the life within them.

Print & packaging

Each artwork is printed to order in Edinburgh (up to a maximum of the edition size), so please allow up to a week for dispatch. To minimise plastic use, prints are packaged in acid-free tissue paper and glassine paper on mountboard. If you require a cellulose (PLA) sleeve, please leave a note under ‘Additional Information’ at the checkout. For more specific requests, I welcome emails in advance.
