Collaboration is at the heart of my practice. I trained in Performance Costume, an art form that only fully comes alive in symbiosis with other art. I welcome creative partnerships and I work closely with clients to understand their needs and bring their ideas to life, offering a bespoke, tailored experience. I strive to make work that feels personal and authentic to those I collaborate with.
A key element of my emerging practice is constituent consciousness. I want to promote equality, transparency and encourage greater understanding of the materials and efforts that underpin our everyday lives. Shine a light on the less visible and offer new perspectives.
I take immense pride in the quality of my work, believing that every piece should reflect both my care and my dedication to craftsmanship. Each creation, whether it's a bespoke textile, a sculptural costume, a print illustration, a painting, or a portrait, is born out of a meticulous process, driven by curiosity and critical thinking. I am committed to creating work that resonates with people, paying careful attention to every detail and ensuring that the outcome makes a mark.
I pride myself on having confident taste, an eye for detail, and an innate sense of colour. People are drawn to my work because of the careful, thoughtful approach I take, resulting in pieces that speak to both aesthetic beauty and functional design. I am driven by the desire to create things that last, which is why I am deeply mindful of environmental considerations in my process. Sustainability is a key factor in my decision-making, and I always seek options that minimise waste and celebrate the natural beauty of materials.
Aesthetically I often find inspiration in the natural world, biomimicry, in scientific ideas or fiction - be it lichen on a rock, the grain of wood, a nebula, or the human nervous system. In my creative process, I tend to flow between two distinct approaches. Mostly, I embrace a meticulous and technical method — focused on precision and structure. Less often, I allow myself to be guided by intuition, embracing a more free-flowing, instinctive approach. Whether my work leans toward the methodical or the spontaneous, it is always infused with desire to create something meaningful and lasting.
